The aim of Train 2B Smart TTBS is to build a community-based charity promoting mental health and building resilience through sport and activity. TTBS encourages participation through a structured framework allowing boys/girls through all levels of ability and those with special needs to enjoy sport and gain life skills as a result.
Our aim is to successfully develop and implement a structured and progressive coaching network, further promoting and providing development opportunities for physical, technical and emotional improvements for all its players, allowing these children the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Train 2B Smart have recently partnered with an integrated Primary School, Tullygally PS in the Craigavon area to promote cross community relations and develop an old existing gravel pitch into a community hub which will promote well-being, educate and inspire the local and wider community. Pat McGibbon is a former professional footballer who played with Manchester United, Wigan Athletic and Northern Ireland, between 1992-2002. He returned home to Northern Ireland to work as a physiotherapist whilst also playing, coaching and managing at a part-time professional level.
8 months after moving to Old Trafford, his brother Phillip took his own life, which is something Pat hasn’t spoken about until recently. He has began to speak publicly about mental health issues, with the aim of increasing mental health awareness, reducing the stigma and promoting health and well-being through sport.
Pat founded the charity TRAIN 2 B SMART (TTBS) Juniors, who aim to promote positive mental health and well-being through sport. TTBS have affiliated boys and girls teams at a range of age groups.
The aim of the charity is to educate through seminars, workshops, play and to inspire the local/ wider community.

Their valuable insights and encouragement continue to motivate us in our journey of making a difference in people’s lives.
